The MB503 is a surface planer with a 300 mm working width and a maximum planing depth of 5 mm per pass. It is used to flatten and square the face and edge of a board before thicknessing, which is the first step in accurate timber preparation.\n\nThe cutter head runs at 5000 rpm with three knives, producing a clean surface on hardwood and softwood alike.
