The MT170 is a compact petrol tiller for greenhouse beds, orchard strips and vegetable plots where a walking tractor is too heavy. The 7 hp four-stroke engine drives tines through a gearbox with a true reverse gear, which makes the machine manageable at the end of a narrow bed instead of dragging it back by hand.
Tilling width adjusts between 600 and 850 mm by moving the side guards, working depth is controlled by the depth skid up to 250 mm, and the handlebar folds and adjusts in height for transport and storage. At 62 kg, two people load it into a pickup without ramps.
Rotavator, ridging and plough attachments share the same drive shaft. Typical buyers are greenhouse growers, orchard farms and landscaping crews.
